Very Merry, Reilly, Michael
Reilly Nelson, voice and Michael Shannon, piano are slated to present A Very Merry Christmas at St. Luke’s Cathedral, 160 Brock St. in the Sault’s downtown on Friday, Dec. 20, at 7 p.m.
Fee for adults is $25 while children will be admitted free.
Pianist and vocal coach, Michael Shannon, is emerging as one of Canada’s top opera professionals, now serving as vocal coach for the Canadian Opera Company and the Opera Theatre of Saint Louis.
Reilly Nelson, a Sault native, has recently performed principal roles with Cincinnati Opera, and Kentucky Opera.
A specialist in the music of Kurt Weill and prize winner at the prestigious Lotte Lenya competition, Nelson recently completed her Doctorate of Musical Arts at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music.
