The COVID-19 pandemic has put what would have been the 113th edition of the Massey Fair on hold for this year.

But there is good news ahead.

Sault Business Matters has confirmed that officials have come up with alternative plans for the fair grounds for Saturday, August 29 with an event called ‘Pioneering the Pandemic.’

On that date, the Massey Fair Grounds will play host to an all-day flea market along with other activities.

All vendors must have a current membership in the Massey Agricultural Society.

Memberships can be purchased by e-transferring $5 for each membership to [email protected].

Include your name, address, phone number and e-mail address.

Membership cards will be available for pickup at the flea market on the day of the event.

Vendors are encouraged to bring their own tables. According to event organizers, there are a limited number available at a cost of $10 each on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.

Massey is located about 110 miles east of Sault Ste. Marie along Highway 17.
