An evening at Hogwarts

October 14, 2021

Sault Business Matters has received the following press release from the zany folks at Hogwarts.

Dear Person Still Desperately Waiting for a Hogwarts Letter:

We are pleased to inform you that you have been added to the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry wait list. Although we were impressed with your persistence, we are not able to allow you, or any students, to come to Hogwarts at this time, due to the pandemic.

To date, we have offered our wait list students elective extracurricular activities hosted by An Evening at Hogwarts, Sault Ste. Marie branch in support of Sault Area Hospital Foundation’s Cancer Care Fund. These activities included Creative Nest Studios sign conjuring class,Outspoken Brewing’s butter beer tasting, The Whiskey Barrel’s potion examinations and Broers Jansen’s Harry Potter birthday bash. Thanks to the generosity of patient witches and wizards, these events have raised over $2,400 to support the fight against cancer.

After consultation with our mystic advisors, we would like to invite you to a special elective fall term that will showcase the creative magical shops of our local vendor community, highlight our renowned educational assignments while raising funds for local cancer care.

This term’s two special sessions are suitable for students of all ages and magical skill levels.

  1. Virtual Diagon Alley: Here, you can purchase necessary school supplies, Hogwarts house attire, stress relieving potions, and holiday gifts from the most magnificent shops in wizarding Sault Ste. Marie. During sneak peek week, October 18-22, you can browse the colourful storefront displays, meet the shopkeepers and bid on the magical treasures of Gringotts vault auction sales — so, get your quill ready to make your shopping list! Shopping opens for weekend specials, October 23 and 24. Don’t forget that you could win Slug & Jiggers Apothecary’s Liquid Luck giveaways throughout this magical market.

2. Online Trivia Night: This orientation class will test your knowledge of the wizarding world. All you need is a computer or tablet and a smartphone! Class will be held by Hogwarts newly appointed professors on Thursday, November 4 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. We expect many wizardry experts and muggles alike to attend, so entry will require a $10 ticket purchase ahead of time. You are also encouraged to wear your everyday wizard attire or school robes. However, if you prefer, you may dress in the muggle manner.

We are looking forward to your arrival at these Hogwarts elective sessions. We await your owl before the start of the term.
