There is a new pizza place in the Sault’s downtown. As Sault Business Matters was first to report, Uncle Gino’s Pizzeria has taken over the old East St. Pizza location and will be open for takeout five days a week, from Tuesday through Saturday.

Uncle Gino’s Pizzeria is the new little sister of Uncle Gino’s Cafe, a family run restaurant founded by Maria and Gino Calvano that has been proudly serving up authentic, Italian food in the Sault’s west end for over 30 years — with operations spanning three generations.

Now, the third generation of the Calvano family is bringing some of the amazing food Uncle Gino’s is known for downtown to 76 East Street, opening what they are affectionately calling their little sister restaurant, Uncle Gino’s Pizzeria Inc.

Katie, Nick and the Calvano family have put together a thoughtfully crafted menu for the quaint, landmark location downtown. You will be able to get pizza by the slice, combos, quick lunches and dinners to go, desserts and even some of their handmade pastas and sauces in their freezer section! Check out their menu at www.ugc.com and follow them on Facebook for updates!
