Downtown could use these
Our downtown is an area that our City politicians and so called leaders have neglected for far too long.
It is a good thing that there are so many resilient small business owners who have invested in the downtown but the downtown needs more judging by the many vacancies in buildings along Queen from Pim Street to Bruce Street.
Soon we will have a drug store at the corner of Queen and Bruce and that is very encouraging! Additionally I have a list of other businesses that would be welcome additions to our downtown.
They are:
- Take out pizza (affordable) whether it is a franchise such as Domino’s or Little Caesars or Pizza Pizza or a local one such as Pisa Pizza or Aurora’s.
- Hollywood Beauty Salon!
- Circle K or Mac’s convenience store.
- A dollar store.
- Subway or Mr. Sub.
- And lastly, more police presence especially during the evening when the punks are roaming the alleys and destroying private and public property. (The cops are seen all around downtown during the day … so why not at night???)

Maybe a good size affordable grocery store downtown for anybody lives in that area might help .
