Snow carving teams wanted
Bon Soo Winter Carnival is looking for teams to enter into the community-led Snow Sculptures for the upcoming festival, which is slated for February 3-11.
“The snow sculpture contest has always been a local favourite and in an effort to bring back this iconic tradition we have assembled 12 carving sites and we would love to see all of the blocks filled up,” the Bon Soo committee relayed in a press release.
“This year we are asking for community teams to enter and create one of 12 snow sculptures located around the Clergue Park skate trail. You can build at your own pace beginning Monday, January 30. The fee to enter is $300 per team. If you have a team but cannot source the funds to sponsor a block please let us know! We have sponsors to assist- we want to make sure each block is filled and carved for the community to enjoy)
“Please share within your networks and consider entering a team with friends, family or co-workers. These carvings will be a highlight of the Bon Soo festival.”
