Good for summer business
Good bye, spring. Hello, summer. Not only is summer officially here but the weekend weather forecast for Sault Ste. Marie is calling for the warmth of the sun. Which could mean good business for some.
Downtown, the patio bars figure to be a popular spot, be it at J. Caroline’s, Mane Street Cafe and Lounge, or OutSpoken Brewing along Queen St.
Meanwhile, along the waterfront, in the downtown area, there are outdoor patios featured at both Montana’s BBQ and Bar, and the Delta Hotel.
Elsewhere in the downtown, the Queen’s Tarts has opened for business on the corner of Queen and March streets. And just a building away, Reggie’s Place Tavern re-opened a few weeks ago (following a fire which closed it for almost two years) and has re-assumed its status as a popular downtown watering hole.
Still downtown, Broers Jansen, located beside the Sault Ste. Marie Museum, is featuring its $5 glass of wine special. And between Queen and Albert, on Spring St., chef Derek Turner and Gliss Restaurant are continuing with their all-you-can-eat fresh whitefish dinner for $20.
Away from downtown, up in what used to be called the K-Mart Plaza (Great Northern Rd. and Northern Ave.), Scott Coffee Co. has moved from a smaller space to a larger one, right close to the Scotiabank, as young entrepreneur Sarah Huckson lives her dream.
Cheers!
