Windsor Hotel sale update
The listing agent for the Windsor Park Hotel says the downtown landmark has a new owner — but not the one that local website Soo Today reported earlier.
Rather, John Filipetti of Re/Max Realty in Sault Ste. Marie told Sault Business Matters that the nine-floor high-rise has been sold to an out-of-town developer.
Sault Business Matters has subsequently learned that the new owner is Feroze Virani of Richmond Hill-based Heathrow Properties Inc.
Soo Today had earlier reported that local landlord Paul Finck had purchased the Windsor Park and had plans to live on the ninth floor of the building.
But Filipetti told Sault Business Matters that the sale to Finck was never finalized.

Those interested can now research the developer for its past projects to get an idea of what might happen here. We’re seen before the benefit of a business vision ‘from away.’
It’s likely the City, Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Association are in touch with Mr. Virani to welcome him to our community and offer any assistance needed.
