Albert, Gore stop sign
Sault Business Matters issues this reminder of the new stop sign at Albert and Gore streets in that area of the downtown.
The city’s public works department has reduced Albert Street to one lane between Andrew and Gore streets.
And it has placed a new all-way stop at the Gore and Albert streets intersection.
Meantime, the city has temporarily closed the curb lane on the north side of Albert, east of Andrew, with concrete barricades. (Of note, space has been left between the barricades for residents to enter and exit their driveways.)
The new stop sign and lane reduction is designed to address on-going traffic safety at the Gore and Albert intersection.
Full construction to realign Albert Street is slated to take place this summer.
