Coming to the old Solo
It looms as a boost for the downtown.
That is, the building that housed Solo Trattoria, a popular Mediterranean style restaurant in the Sault’s downtown which closed in January of 2020 after more than 12 years in business, will soon be home to a new eatery.
Multiple sources have told Sault Business Matters that the old Solo — which is located across from GFL Memorial Gardens on Queen Street E. — will become a tapas and seafood restaurant.
The same sources have confirmed that the new restaurant will be owned by local businessman Jeff Elgie.
Elgie is the owner of Village Media, which operates a fleet of news websites in Ontario, including Soo Today.
