Remy got it Wright!
Young Remy Tomas of the Sault is a big hockey fan. The eight-year old youngster also plays the game as a member of the Integro Physiotherapy Wolves. And one of Remy’s favourite hockey players is Team Canada forward Shane Wright.
Well, Wright, who is also an Ontario Hockey League star with the Windsor Spitfires and a first round National Hockey League draft pick of the Seattle Kraken, was in town on the weekend for a game with the Soo Greyhounds.
Knowing that, young Remy asked his dad, Kiki Tomas, to bring him to GFL Memorial Gardens well before game time in the hopes that he might get to see Wright. And not only did Remy get to meet one of his hockey heroes outside GFL, Wright graciously posed for a photo with the young Sault lad.
By the way, Remy’s dad, Kiki, is the hard-working owner of the Croatian Corner in the Sault’s downtown area.
