New CEO at SSMCOC
The Sault Ste. Marie Chamber of Commerce (SSMCOC) is thrilled to announce Robert (Bob) Burns as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Bob, an integral member of the Chamber team for years, steps into this leadership role following a successful transition period led by interim CEO Don Mitchell. With his extensive experience, most recently as the Director of Operations, Revenue, and Member Engagement, Bob is uniquely positioned to guide the Chamber into its next chapter of growth and success.
Board President Jason Naccarato shared his enthusiasm for the appointment, saying:
“It is a pleasure to announce Bob has accepted the position as our new Chief Executive Officer. Bob brings to the role a proven track record of member, community, and team engagement. His leadership and deep understanding of our Chamber Network make him the ideal fit. We are excited to work closely with Bob in his new position.”
Jason adds:
“Bob’s hard work and dedication to the Chamber have been evident over his time with the organization, particularly over the last six months. During this period, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership and the ability to drive results. His performance over the last two quarters has proven to the organization that he is the right person to lead us into the future. We are thrilled to have him in this role and look forward to working with him as CEO.”
Bob’s dedication to the Chamber’s mission and his strong connections with members, the board, and the community have already made him a trusted leader. As CEO, Bob is hitting the ground running, collaborating with the Chamber team and stakeholders on exciting initiatives like the Business Retention and Expansion Program.
