PUC & Twinkie Foundation
EDITOR’S NOTE: Sault Business Matters has received the following media release from PUC Services Inc. relative to its association with the Twinkie Foundation.
PUC Services Inc. is proud to collaborate with the Twinkie Foundation to help alleviate the financial burden on local families facing medical travel expenses.
During the whole month of April, PUC will donate $20 for each customer who registers for e-billing, directly supporting the Twinkie Foundation’s mission to assist families needing to travel to southern Ontario for medical care.
“We understand how costly it can be for families to travel for essential medical treatment,” said Rob Brewer, CEO and President of PUC Services Inc. “During such a stressful time, the last thing anyone should worry about is how they’ll cover travel expenses. The Twinkie Foundation does incredible work in our community, and we’re proud to support their efforts.”
By opting for e-billing, PUC customers not only improve their account management and reduce their environmental footprint but also support a cause that significantly benefits local families.
The Twinkie Foundation provides financial assistance for transportation and housing costs for individuals who must travel outside the region for medical treatment. Their work allows families to focus on their health without the burden of unexpected expenses.
Last year, the Twinkie Foundation received 154 applications from local families, marking a 41% increase compared to the previous year.
“We want to express our gratitude to PUC for partnering with us on this initiative,” stated Greg Lefave, co-founder of The Twinkie Foundation. “This project is a fantastic way to reduce waste and our carbon footprint while also supporting local families in need. This year, we expect to receive 240 applications, so switching to e-billing will significantly impact hundreds of children and families during a difficult time in their lives.”
PUC encourages all customers to consider switching to e-billing during the campaign period to maximize the effectiveness of this initiative.
