Record enrollment at AU
Overall student enrollment at Algoma University and its main campus in the east end of Sault — along with affiliates in Timmins and Brampton — has, for the first time ever, exceeded 2,000 full-time students, according to a statement from the school.
“Our strategic enrollment management efforts have far exceeded our original expectations,” relayed Algoma University spokesperson Brent Krmpotich.
“This builds on the positive momentum generated by the 76 per cent overall enrollment growth we have achieved since 2018-2019,” added Krmpotich.
The enrollment figures were confirmed as part of a progress report via AU president and vice-chancellor Asima Vezina.
