Local NDP speaker series
The Sault’s provincial and federal New Democratic Party riding associations are inviting the public to the first event of their new speaker series, which will be held this Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the Soup Kitchen Community Center.
Local activist Elizabeth MacMillan will be the featured speaker at the Thursday evening event.
MacMillan has long been an active member of the community, working to address, at a grassroots level, many of the issues that face the Sault.
According to a press release sent to Sault Business Matters by the local NDP riding associations, MacMillan “will be sharing with us her thoughts on the actions that we, as everyday people, can take to change the way the system is working for us.”
There is no admission cost for the upcoming event but light refreshments will be provided and the local NDP riding associations “will be accepting donations for both the Soup Kitchen Community Center and the riding associations for those who wish to make them.”
