Great Lakes … great movies
The resilient Soo Film Festival is slated to return to the Michigan Sault’s downtown for a seventh year from Sept. 10-20 of this year.
Films will screen at the historic Soo Theatre and Bayliss Public Library.
Festival president Jason Markstrom noted that, “in these uncertain times we are confident the show will go on. We look forward to showing off the strength, resilience, and talent of the Great Lakes and beyond.”
Documentary and all genres of fiction, feature and shorts, will be accepted on-line, exclusively through FilmFreeway.
The festival committee has set a no-fee early bird deadline of April 26.

Soo Film Festival 2020 is open to filmmakers world-wide but says it will continue to emphasize and showcase work from the Great Lakes region.
The 2020 Soo Film Festival organizing committee is the aforementioned Jason Markstrom along with Allison Young, Mark Dobias, Pat Egan, and Susan James.
