Romano reaches cabinet
Ross Romano has been added to a reshuffled Ontario cabinet. The Sault Ste. Marie member of provincial parliament has been appointed by Premier Doug Ford as Ontario’s minister for training, colleges and universities.
The elusive, twice-elected Romano previously held roles with the provincial Progressive Conservatives as a parliamentary assistant before today’s Ford-orchestrated cabinet shift.
Meanwhile, Algoma University president Asima Vezina and Sault College president Ron Common both applauded the appointment of Romano as having the potential of being beneficial for Sault Ste. Marie’s post-secondary education system.
