The little grocery store is located on Gore Street in the Sault’s downtown area.

Vezeau-Allen made the announcement relative to the re-opening of Grocer 4 Good on behalf of its board of directors and collaborative agencies.

“As an organization we made the right decision to temporarily cease operations for the health and safety of our staff, volunteers and customers,” relayed Vezeau-Allen.

“We want to acknowledge the support from our funders and partners in agreeing with our decisions during the first stages of COVID-19.

“Kudos to our program manager, Ryan Alexander, for continuously connecting with staff during our closure and continuing to plan and work to grow our mission,” added Vezeau-Allen.

Grocer 4 Good is a collaborative enterprise between District Social Services Board, Harvest Algoma, Ontario Disability Support Program, Ontario Works, March of Dimes, Sault Ste. Marie Community Career Centre, and Yes You Can.
