Steelers blank Spartans
Touchdowns by Michael Reid and Fred Casselman and a Matt Gauthier field goal sparked the Sault Steelers to a 17-0 home triumph over the Sudbury Spartans on Saturday.
Gauthier converted both touchdowns.
With the win, the Steelers improve their record to 3-2 in the Power 5 Football League. They wind up the 2024 regular season summer schedule next Saturday against the visiting Tri City Outlaws in a 7 p.m. match at Rocky DiPietro Field.
