Up first is Moonlight Magic. Then comes the Santa Claus Parade. Both events are slated for the Sault’s downtown this week.

The celebration of the season begins on Thursday at 6 p.m. with the Downtown Association’s Moonlight Magic, which includes the lighting of the community tree.

Of note, downtown merchants will be open until 11 p.m. for late night shopping and deals.

Motorists are reminded that Queen St., from Pim to Dennis, will be closed on Thursday, beginning at 3 p.m., for the event but crossroads going north and south will be open.

Then, on Saturday, the annual Santa Claus Parade will showcase the Sault’s downtown.

The parade starts at Pim St. at 6 p.m.

There are an abundance of local eateries and watering holes along Queen and its side streets that are regularly open on Saturdays during the day and into the night.

Come and enjoy the Sault’s downtown!
