Short, downtown wish list

I have been writing and speaking the praises of the Sault’s downtown for a few years now. And as more business comes to the downtown — especially in the food and beverage industry — methinks there is room for at least a couple more.

Such as:

A quick, in and out, pizza-wings takeout outlet along Queen St. — between Pilgrim and Bruce — be it Domino’s, Little Caesars, Pizza Pizza, or Toppers. Or maybe Gus’s Pizza, which is located more towards Gore St., opens a second outlet in the Brock to Elgin St. area.

Another old-style bar such as the New American, aka the New A. Reggie’s Tavern has been open and closed over the past few years, first because of a fire, now because of owner-related health issues. If Reggie himself doesn’t re-open, it would be great if someone else with his work ethic could take over ownership. And maybe install a pizza oven like they have at the Roadhouse, which is out on Trunk Rd.
