Christmas light nominations

Nominations for the 2022 Christmas Lighting Awards Program are still being accepted by the City Clerk’s office. The program – co-sponsored by PUC Services Inc. – promotes and encourages community involvement, and recognizes the efforts of residents who light up their homes and businesses in the spirit of the season.


There are two award categories. In the Residential category, two winners per ward will be selected in the residental category, and three winners will be selected citywide in the business category.

Judging of the nominated properties will take place during the week prior to Christmas. Submissions must include the civic address being nominated and the resident’s name. Any resident can submit a nomination, including self-nominations. Residences that have won in the last three years (2019, 2020 and 2021) are not eligible. The deadline for entries is Friday, Dec. 9, at 4:30 p.m.

Nomination forms are available online at saultstemarie.ca/christmaslighting. Completed forms can be emailed to [email protected] or addressed to the City Clerk – Ronald A. Irwin Civic Centre.
