RJ’s Market, located at 238 Wellington Street West, has been serving the residents of Sault Ste. Marie in the historic Steelton area since the early 1990s. Under new ownership, the store aims to continue to offer residents convenience, fresh food options, friendly service, and convenient to-go options and is the perfect place to go for your quick shopping needs.
With a deli, on-site butcher, a large variety of grocery items, hot food area with pizza, broasted chicken, potatoes, wings, other hot food items, and assorted salads, it is a great place to get your essentials and feed the family when in a rush. And beginning next month, the takeout area will also offer Indian food options with up to 15 options planned!
RJ’s offers home delivery for seniors by calling ahead and can put together fruit trays and deli trays as well. They are open seven days a week and for the convenience of customers, they are even open on all major holidays, 365 days a year! The store continues to offer some of the Italian products they were known for under the previous ownership but also has brought in some imported different ethnic food items as well to serve our city’s growing multicultural landscape such as the aforementioned Indian takeout items.
There is even an aisle that contains some surprising items that you wouldn’t expect to find such as hardware items, tools, lightbulbs, flashlights and the like.
RJ’s famous broasted chicken is second to none, so give it a try if you haven’t yet! An ATM, ice, and lottery tickets are also available at the store, making it a great stop before heading out to your camp or cottage – don’t forget the delicious chicken!
