Our friends at Ojas/Plant Based have provided Sault Business Matters some more insight into their lovely establishment in downtown Sault Ste. Marie. Here’s what they recently shared with us.
“Located in the iconic Muio’s building in downtown Sault Ste. Marie, we have been part of the Sault Ste. Marie community since February 2024. Our restaurant is proudly woman-owned and led by Mrs. Oyunbileg Chuluunbazar (Oyuna), with her husband Kumar, a chef and food & beverage professional. Combined they have over 20 years of restaurant and hospitality experience.
“The owners have had the privilege of serving notable personalities like HH Dalaai Lama, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and the Mongolian President through their other restaurants in Mongolia!
“Opening to customers on April 26, 2024, our mission is to serve happiness to the community through our food and service, providing delicious sustainable plant-based international fusion cuisine.
“We aim to bring this happiness through our service, meals, atmosphere and quality food. Our cuisine is 100% plant-based serving fusion cuisine that combines elements of different food traditions and countries.
“We offer both regular as well as a kids menu! We aim to be both family, friends and business oriented, offering service to all!

On a personal note this foodie can with all sincerity say that Ojas is absolutely delivering on a memorable and delicious experience even if you aren’t a strict vegan or vegetarian!
They absolutely remind you of how good plant based cuisine can be when it’s made with love and experience. The owners and staff are always so friendly and welcoming and they make you want to return again and again!
