PUC gives to Christmas Cheer
PUC Services Inc. has announced that $8,240 was raised for Christmas Cheer through its annual e-billing campaign, which ran from November 24 to December 24, 2025.
In addition, PUC successfully collected and donated more than 300 toys to Christmas Cheer following a community toy drive held from November 24 to December 4.
Now in its third year, PUC’s holiday giving initiative combines customer participation with community support. For every customer who enrolled in paperless billing during the campaign period, PUC donated $20 to Christmas Cheer, generating a meaningful financialcontribution. The initiative was further supported by a toy drive held from November 24 to December 4, which saw generous donations from PUC staff and customers.
“PUC is an excellent supporter and partner of Christmas Cheer, first with their marvellous toy drive, and now with their financial gift that allows us to purchase many of the grocery gift cards that are given to each of our families,” said Diane Marshall, Co-Convener, Christmas Cheer.
Christmas Cheer is a local organization dedicated to supporting families in need by providing food, gifts, and holiday assistance. The funds and toys raised through this initiative will help ensure children and families across the community can experience a brighter holiday season.
“To be able to give back to the community we’re proud to serve is truly meaningful,” said Jairus Patterson, Manager, Communications & Customer Relations at PUC Services Inc. “We’re incredibly proud of the compassion shown by our team and customers, who helped to spread Christmas cheer to families in our community this holiday season.”
Each donated toy counted as one entry into a giveaway draw. Prize winners are as follows:
- Patti Marinich – Winner of an iPad (donated by Aaron’s Furniture in the Churchill Plaza.)
- Avril Sanguinetti – Winner of a $100 Metro gift card
- Paul Luciani – Winner of a $100 Metro gift card
