Did you know that Rasoi, literally translates to “kitchen” in Hindi? Well, from the moment you walk in to Rasoi, The Indian Kitchen, you are transported to the kitchens of India without having to leave our fair city!

Owner Neeta Marwah has been welcoming lucky diners since October of 2017 in her old location before moving to her current location at 523 Queen Street E. in the Sault’s downtown. And she and is inviting all who visit to experience an authentic taste of Northern India.

It only takes a short conversation with the welcoming and friendly Neeta and a taste of the incredible food to know that she has a passion for creating and delivering fresh, tasty, authentic dishes to her guests.  If you want to experience authentic Indian Punjabi food, this is the place to go!

Rasoi has been a welcome addition to downtown’s culinary scene and everyone is welcome to perhaps step out of your comfort zone and try something new; you won’t be disappointed.

Dining in unfamiliar territory can be a bit intimidating but Neeta and her friendly staff can make suggestions, guide you in the right direction and make you feel totally at ease and as she relayed to Sault Business Matters, “once they try the food, they love it!”

It is hard to pick a favourite dish as they all are an enchanting blend of culinary skill and fabulous flavour profiles and you can immediately tell the dishes are made with love.  If you are worried about how spicy the dishes will be, fear not; Neeta and all the chefs are quite willing to adjust the heat factor and you can rest assured when dining at Rasoi that the food will be authentic, hot and fresh.

Some of the popular and favourite dishes you don’t want to miss include paneer, samosas, aloo tikki, tandoori chicken, chicken 65, chicken biryani, various creative wrap options, vegetarian friendly fare such as chana masala or aloo gobhi, and tasty drinks like masala chai tea, and the refreshing mango lassi.

Rasoi even now serves a butter chicken poutine for the poutine lovers out there!

It is fully licenced and the current larger location has a beautiful cozy seating area at the front of the restaurant for those wanting a more casual atmosphere than the formal seating area.

Rasoi is also available for private bookings and catering for those wanting to go “outside of the box” for their events/meetings/family gatherings or any other occasion!

If you don’t feel like visiting the house, Rasoi is even on SkipTheDishes and UberEats.
