As Shantelle tells us, being a registered nurse for over 16 years, she has worked in areas like oncology, maternal health, medical, long-term care, and teaching and she enjoyed the diversity, but she realized she always had a passion for beauty and skin health. Nursing gave her the perfect foundation to switch career paths and follow her passion—attention to detail, patient care, and clinical expertise all allowed for the perfect transition naturally into aesthetics.
Helping people feel confident in their own skin felt like an extension of caring for their overall well-being. Shantelle goes on to explain that the most rewarding part of what she does is watching clients light up when they see their results. Confidence is powerful, and being able to give someone back that sense of self-assurance is why she loves what she does. It’s not just about beauty—it’s about empowering people.
A question that I always like to ask new clients when writing their feature stories is if there was a piece of advice once shared that has stuck with you. Shantelle gave this amazing response when I asked that very question. “Always stay teachable.” She went on to explain why this advice has served her so well. “No matter how much experience you have, there’s always something new to learn. Aesthetics is constantly evolving, and keeping an open mind ensures I continue to grow, both personally and professionally.”
Nichol trained one-on-one with a Windsor nurse practitioner who is now the clinic’s medical director. Safety is always at the forefront of every procedure and rest assured that every injectable and device she uses carries Health Canada approval, and her consultations include detailed health histories. In perusing her Instagram account, you can easily see that she is more minimalist in her work and the goal is to aim for refreshed, not redrawn.
Her goal is to help people have results that are natural and not so “obvious” and fillers are used to replace lost volume in subtle, strategic ways. For anyone curious but nervous, Nichol’s advice is to book a consultation. As for the name, she explains that superior glow comes from that lit-from-within look you get when your skin is healthy, and your confidence catches up. If someone leaves her clinic feeling they that they can face the world without makeup, then she has done her job.
In her spare time, Shantelle loves spending time with her husband and kids. They are very much a family-oriented household. They also have a little shih tzu dog who’s like her shadow. She enjoys being outdoors, traveling when she can, and of course, keeping up with the latest in beauty, skincare, and wellness.
