As a proudly family‑owned funeral home, O’Sullivan has built its reputation on trust. Their team goes above and beyond to make families feel supported from the very first conversation. Owner Lisa Damignani had purchased the funeral home from the previous owners Len and Rose Donnelly in February of 2014 and prior to that she had worked with them for six years. She is very proud of the fact that she, alongside her partner Mark Trudel and daughter Christina will ensure that the business will be family run and locally owned as it has been since 1950.

It truly is a family run operation with Lisa as Managing Director/Owner/Funeral Director, her daughter Christina as licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer, Mark Trudel providing Operations Support and Funeral Directing Assistance and rounding out the team is Kristen Breckenridge as bookkeeper and a licensed funeral pre-planner.

Did you know that other funeral homes in town now charge a per person catering fee and do not allow outside food catering? This policy can substantially increase the cost for grieving families. O’Sullivan does not have a per person catering policy. They welcome families to bring in their own food and beverages alongside refreshments they can supply which can make a personalized experience, perhaps even honouring the loved one by having their favourite foods. They will also allow families to fully use their own preferred caterer without additional charges. In addition, the owner is committed to keeping their funeral services the most economical option in town and being locally owned and operated, they can.

What truly sets O’Sullivan Funeral Home apart is their dedication to creating meaningful, personalized experiences. Whether a family envisions a traditional service, a modern celebration of life, or something entirely unique, the staff works closely with them to bring that vision to life.

Supporting the community is also important to the family and you will often see them giving back to those facing food insecurity by donating food and groceries whenever they can partnering with other like minded businesses to help out. They recently supported SOYA, partnering with another organization to buy groceries for five families facing food insecurity. In January, they purchased enough food to feed 150 people at St. Vincent Place. They live up to their motto of “Our Family Caring for Yours.” They have numerous community groups they support which can be found on their excellent website.

To learn more or to set up an appointment to take advantage of their current save the tax event or discuss pre-arranging services, we encourage you to visit their website at www.osullivanfuneralhome.com or give them a call at 705-759-8456. You can also find them on Facebook.

In a community that values connection, O’Sullivan Funeral Home stands out as a compassionate partner — one that treats every family like their own. With unwavering professionalism and a genuine commitment to care, they continue to be the Sault’s trusted choice for honouring life’s most important moments.
